New Look/Feel
The most noticeable change in the site is the massive visual overhaul we’ve given it. Blinkdisasters now has a clean, modern, streamlined design.

Updated Forum
The forum has been enhanced by adding many useful features to enhance yor forum experience. The most notable features are automatic image resizing, and the forum activity list right on the side so you can see exactly where the conversations are happening. The other big thing added to the forum, is next on the list…

BD Chat
BD Chat is a facebook style chat system where you can talk with any registered member of the site while they are logged in. The features on the new chat system include: video chat, site notifications and announcements, pop-out chat ( for when you want to leave the forum page and keep the conversation going), chatrooms, and games.

Media Pages
Blink fans love collecting blink media. While we’ve always had a fair selection of media on our site, we decided to make it easier to access, and more organized for browsing. Did we mention our collection of media is massive? Almost 50gigs and counting!

New Band Pages
We completely redid the band pages we had before, reorganized them, and added a lot more to them. We hope the new band pages can be your one stop home for everything you would ever need regarding the blink-182 and Angels & Airwaves!

Tour Page
We’ve always had a “tour page” on the site, but it’s always just had links to the bands official tour date pages. With our new tour page, you can see a complete list of scheduled shows, buy tickets to them, even save dates straight to your computer calendars so you wont forget them! As soon as a tour is under way, the most current venue info will be right on the homepage sidebar for you to see.

New Backend/News Posting System
This was the biggest upgrade to blinkdisasters that we’ve done. The backend updates are nothing you can see, but you will definitely notice our sparkly new news posting system! In the past posting news was a drag to do, and was a big culprit in the decline of news for a while. With the new system, posting news is an absolute breeze and we have so many new features to toy around with. Not to mention 2.0 automatically organizes at all to look pretty for us on the homepage so we can worry about typing in the news, and clicking enter as soon as we can so the news can gets to you all the quicker!

Tumblogs
The news system puts each category into its own tumblog. Each article has a category icon to the left of it. Simply click your desired article category and it will show you only news posts of that kind. You can also subscribe to individual article categories from there!

New Logo/Icon
We’ve been wanting an icon of sorts to use for the site for a while now. Something that was blink related, but at the same time something original. We decided to remake blink’s original “blink bunny”, using the new bunny design! Thus, our new icon was born…
